Shishira Sreenivas, February 15th, 2018

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority has launched a new shuttle service from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Ras Al Khaimah.

The service will be available from terminal 1 and 3 and is aimed at easing the connectivity between the northern emirate and Dubai.

The introduction of the shuttle is in line with Ras Al Khaimah’s aim to attract more than one million visitors to the emirate by the end of 2018.

The shuttle service can be booked online at www.rakshuttle.com and will pick up guests from Dubai airport at terminals 1 and 3, and drop them at all the major hotels in Ras Al Khaimah for an introductory price of AED 20 (US $5.45) one way.

Wi-Fi, water bottles and maps will be available on board, Khaleej Times reported.

RAKTDA CEO Haitham Matter commented that the introduction of the RAK shuttle will help the emirate toward their 2018 growth target. The aim was to make it easier for tourists to get to the emirate which is located 45 minutes from DXB. Additionally, it will help tourism companies to attract key international source market to the northern emirate which is home to UAE’s highest mountain, Jebel Jais.
