Dubai-based hotel giant Jumeirah plans to redefine the concept of three-star hotels with the launch of Zabeel House Mini by Jumeirah.

The first hotel in the new Zabeel House by Jumeirah collection is described as "maximum attitude, minimum frills", emphasising the focus on creating a playful guest experience that is friendly to the bank balance through stripping back the non-essentials.

Room rates at the hotel in the Al Seef district of Dubai start at AED350 (US $95), a statement said, adding that bikes will be available for guests to go out for a ride around the neighbourhood, free of charge. Currently, however, for bookings prior to June 14 (valid until end of September 2018), rates start at AED 280 ($76).

There’s no valet, but there is an underground car park directly beneath the hotel while self check-in is also an option.

The 150-room hotel also offers a roaming barista serving a special Boon coffee blend while arty animals will also be found around the property.
   
The Courtyard, an outdoor space, and a plunge pool on the roof with a sunbathing area are also available.

Dining options include Cu (named after the chemical symbol for copper) offers a mix of Pan Asian and Middle Eastern dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Zabeel House Mini by Jumeirah is the first hotel to open in the Zabeel House by Jumeirah collection.
