W Hotels Worldwide has opened the doors to W Amman, the brand’s first property in Jordan. The property was originally scheduled to open in January 2018.

The hotel, which is developed by Eagle Hills Jordan, offers 236 rooms and 44 suites — each of the room features floor-to-ceiling windows. The new property offers a variety of suites including four 'wow suites' and one 159m2 'extreme wow suite' which is the W brand’s take on the presidential suite. This suite offers guests a panoramic view of Amman, an in-room DJ deck, an entertainment system and private jacuzzi.

Commenting on the opening, president and managing director, Middle East and Africa for Marriott International, Alex Kyriakidis, said in a statement that Amman’s growing social scene makes it an ideal destination for the edgy hotel brand. “Amman is an ideal destination for the W brand with its engaging social scene and growing passion for design, music and fashion,” he said.

The hotel’s F&B offerings include: Mesh which provides Levantine-inspired international cuisine; Aura, which offers signature drinks and bar snacks; and Enso, a Pan-Asian restaurant which offers five regional cuisines from South East Asia.

W Amman also offers guests an outdoor pool called The Wet Deck, the Away Spa, a 24/7 gym and a 629m2 meeting and events space called the Great Room and four fully equipped studio rooms. The hotel also employs a W Insider who works with guests to connect them with local attractions and events to suit the guests’ travel needs.

W Amman is the first collaborative project between Marriott International and Eagle Hills Jordan. The collaboration will continue as three more projects are slated to open across Jordan — The St. Regis Amman, The Westin Saraya Aqaba and Al Manara, a luxury collection hotel, Saraya Aqaba, a statement from the hotel company said.
