Emaar Hospitality Group revealed the launch of Address Al Marjan Island hotel and residences — the company’s first hotel and residences project in Ras al Khaimah by its development venture, Emaar Development — at Arabian Hospitality Investment Conference 2018 (AHIC).

The property will be managed by the company’s lifestyle brand Address Hotels + Resorts and will be part of a two million square feet mixed-use project by Emaar in the Views island of Al Marjan Island – a four coral-shaped islands with mixed developments.

In the resort-style development, Address Al Marjan Island hotel will feature 249 rooms and suites while Address Residences Al Marjan Island will include 234 luxury apartments. Guests and residents at the property will have direct access to more than 600m of beachfront as well views of the Arabian Sea.

Address Al Marjan Island will offer several restaurant concepts including The Restaurant at Address for all-day dining, meeting and banquet space, a business lounge, a fitness centre, spa, pool and other wellness amenities. Address Residences Al Marjan Island residents will also have access to the hotel amenities, a statement from the company said.

Al Marjan Island has a development value of more than USD $1.8 million with 1,500 operational keys as well as 2,000 residential units. The development is aimed in line with RAK’s goals of strengthening tourism and leisure developments in the emirate as well as the growth of tourism, hospitality and retail sectors.

Commenting on Emaar’s launch in the emirate, Al Marjan Island CEO Abdullah Al Abdooli said the new development adds to the emirate’s tourism growth potential.

“The Address hotel and residence development will be another catalyst for Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism sector, and underline Al Marjan Island as a vibrant destination offering exceptional hotel choices. The active participation of leading developers such as Emaar in Al Marjan Island highlights the tremendous potential for growth offered by the master-planned community which has already attracted international investors and hotel brands,” Abdooli said.

Besides RAK, Emaar also recently came together with Arada to launch and operate three hotels in Sharjah’s Aljada, a 24 million square foot mixed-use entertainment and lifestyle destination which was launched in September 2017.

In addition to an upcoming resort in Fujairah, globally, Address Hotels + Resorts is set to operate hotel projects in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey and The Maldives, a statement from Emaar stated.
