Sarakshi Rai, April 25th, 2018

Atlantis, The Palm senior vice president, operations and general manager Timothy M. Kelly revealed to Hotelier Middle East at Arabian Travel Market 2018 that it recorded occupancy rates of 96% for the first quarter of 2018.

The resort said its 2018 business strategy will continue to focus on the UK and Europe, including Germany and Russia, as well as long-haul destinations such as the US and Australia.

“Starting 2018 in such a strong position, with record-breaking occupancy levels in Q1, is testament to the hard work and on-going dedication of our team of colleagues,” said Timothy Kelly, general manager and senior vice president, operations, Atlantis, The Palm.

Atlantis unveiled the completion of two new children’s areas - a mini Atlantis-themed play area and Splashers Island - earlier this month.

Atlantis, The Palm is also currently undergoing a $100 million refurbishment of all 1,539 rooms and suites, which began last July, and 400 standard rooms and 50 suites have so far been completed across eight floors.

It will soon open a new club with a 'world famous operator' as well in place of Nasimi Beach.
