Fairmont the Palm hires Steven Stefaniuk as hotel manager

Fairmont The Palm has appointed Steven Stefaniuk as hotel manager.

Stefaniuk has more than 16 years experience in the hospitality industry, having held progressive management roles within Fairmont Hotels internationally. 

He joined Fairmont Hotels and Resorts in 2002 as restaurant manager at Calgary Eau Claire (A Fairmont Managed Hotel) in Canada. Shortly after, he moved to Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver as food & beverage manager until 2004.

He was then promoted to assistant director of food & beverage when he moved to Fairmont Banff Springs and a few years later was further promoted to director of food and beverage, before transferring to Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda and progressing to director of operations in 2013. Prior to his new role at Fairmont The Palm, Stefaniuk worked at Fairmont Dubai as hotel manager from 2016, where he managed the 600-room property for the last two years. 

A Canadian national, Stefaniuk attended Fanshawe College in London, Ontario as well as the University of Western Ontario for Business Administration. In addition to this, he attended the General Managers Programme with Cornell University and holds three e-Cornell Certificates and level 2 designations from the International Sommelier Guild.
