Dukes Dubai appoints director of F&B and culinary

Duke's Dubai has appointed Rodrigo Ofner as its new director of F&B and culinary.

Ofner started his career in Switzerland where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Glion Hotel School, Switzerland, in International Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Rodrigo's career in hospitality started at the Seasons Hotel Lisboa, before Le Meridien Copacabana and Le Meridien at Beverly Hills. In 2005, he joined the Orient Express Hotel Group, working first in Riviera Maya, Mexico as director of F&B, before moving to Urubamba, Peru as hotel manager.

Ofner spent the next eight years developing his experience at hotel properties including the Verdura Golf Resort and Spa, Sicily, part of the Rocco Forte Group and latterly with the Jumeirah Group. His tenure with Jumeirah began in Mallorca, Spain, bringing him to the UAE in 2016 in the role of executive assistant manager for food and beverage.

In his new position, Ofner will lead the front of house and culinary teams in all of Duke’s six dining venues, including the Duke’s Bar, Khyber from Mumbai, British eatery Great British Restaurant (GBR), and West 14th Steakhouse.
