Fifty guests fall ill at Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort and Spa

Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is currently investigating why 50 guests staying at the hotel suddenly fell ill along with the concerned authorities.

According to The National, Sharjah Municipality’s health department is investigating the incident in co-operation with police. The report also added that hotel guests staying at the resort were admitted to hospitals across the emirate after suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea.

A Marriott representative told HotelierMiddleEast.com, "We can confirm that a number of our guests reported feeling unwell on May 10, 2018. We are working closely with local health authorities to investigate the cause. The well-being of our guests is of paramount priority. We follow dedicated policies and procedures for health & safety across all areas of the property and take prudent steps to provide a safe and comfortable environment at the hotel."
