Mohamed Shawky has been promoted to the role of executive assistant manager - rooms, The Meydan Hotel.
The Egyptian national was most recently cluster director of revenue for The Meydan Hotel and its sister property Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa since December 2015.
In his new role, Shawky will oversee all aspects of the hotel operations for The Meydan Hotel, heading the front office, housekeeping and laundry, while continue heading the cluster revenue department for both sister properties.
Shawky has 14 years of hospitality experience in both front office operations, sales, revenue and reservation management in various regional and international hotel chains in Egypt and United Arab Emirates.
He holds a Bachelor degree in English literature from Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, Egypt and MBA from Chifly Business School, Torrens University, Australia.
