Makkah Millennium Hotel and Towers has appointed Saad Khayat as the new cluster general manager.
Khayat has more than 25 years of experience in business and hospitality, and prior to this appointment, he was the general manager of the Sheraton Jabal Al Kaaba Makkah hotel.
He started his career in sales & banquet sales at the Le Meridien Hotel Jeddah. He also worked as the area director of sales and marketing at the Intercontinental Hotel, Jeddah in 2010 for five years, and was then appointed group director of sales & marketing for the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, a Fairmont Hotel; Raffles Makkah Palace and Swissotel Makkah until 2014.
He then moved to Choice Hotel International as director of business development in 2017.
The 614-room and suites Makkah Millennium Hotel was flagged under Millennium Hotels & Resorts in September 2017, with the building having previously been operated by Hilton.
