Ramses Hilton appointed Rehab Mohamed as director of business development and Hala El Sheikh as front office manager in May 2018.
Mohamed has worked at the Ramses Hilton for more than 20 years, holding several managerial positions including her most recent role as director of revenue. El Sheikh also has more than 20 years of experience and is the first woman to hold the position of front office manager at Ramses Hilton. Prior to her new appointment, El Sheikh served as the assistant front manager for two years.
"As a global hospitality company, our diverse workforce is fundamental to our success. We are committed to supporting and promoting more women into senior leadership positions, and are delighted to announce these well-earned promotions,” said Soha El Torgoman, cluster general manager for Ramses Hilton and Hilton Cairo World Trade Center Residences, in a statement.
Last year, Hilton was recognised as one of the 100 best workplaces for women 2017 by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine, which highlights companies with generous benefits, flexible schedules, and an emphasis on balancing work and life. Rankings are determined by employee surveys and the representation of women within the organisations.
Hilton recently hosted its Women in Leadership conference at Ramses Hilton. The day-long event was organised to support female team members, encourage them to improve their visibility and seize career opportunities. Speakers ran sessions about confidence and empowerment, personal branding and career management. In addition, a panel of successful female guest speakers offered inspirational leadership stories.
