Tryp by Wyndham Dubai opened a year ago, and is staffed by 259 people. When asked why the team deserves to win, the answer was: "The team has been passionate about delivering quality service from the beginning. With 650 rooms and small public areas, it is a challenging product, but we do it with love and dedication. After 1 year of operating we still have the same desire from when we started. We want what is best for the staff, guests, the building and the profits."
Rove Dubai Marina has been open only six months but the team has overachieved revenues and profits by nearly double compared to budget YTD, despite being new to the market. When asked why the team deserves to win, the answer was: "With 386 rooms, we care for each and every Rover (Guest) passing through our door and make it our mission to create new roving fans. We achieve this through our most important asset, which is of course the team of people caring and serving. The team is a happy bunch, which we measure on a daily basis through our Pulse survey. We consistently ensure to engage our team through activities, training and development. This hotel has opened its doors to the public 2 months earlier than scheduled."
Park Inn by Radisson Muscat opened ten years ago in 2009. When asked why the team deserves to win, the answer was: "Our hotel has been a chosen as the preferred place to stay in Muscat by our guests mainly due to the 'Yes I can' attitude of the hotel team. We have overcome many challenges over the years such as flooding in the area, recruitment issues due to visa clearance in the country, competition from brand new hotels in the city and other such instances, however over the years we have maintained quality in service and standards and retained guest loyalty."
When asked why the team deserves to win, Time Oak Hotel & Suites said: "We believe that Hospitality is fast paced and constantly evolving. The best way to beat our competitors through ensuring our employees' expertise in performing the day-to-day necessities, such as maintaining exceptionally high levels of housekeeping or making sure front desk employees are adept with computers and other technological tools required in their jobs."
When asked about the achievements of the sales and marketing team, Novotel Dubai Al Barsha said in their nomination entry: "Novotel Dubai Al Barsha is active on Facebook with more than 270,000 fans, an average engagement rate of 8% and a response rate of 100%. Our social media strategy is based on creating and sharing inspiring interactive content using specific keywords to its targeted audience. We maintain a competitive position in the actual challenging market is the key priority of the sales team. We also have a dedicated, data driven action plan has been implemented through the year to cover strategic areas."
Park Inn by Radisson Dubai Motor City has 146 rooms and 65 staff working in the hotel. When asked why the team deserves to win, the answer was: "The team is probably one of the smallest for a four-star hotel in Dubai with over 140 rooms. This shows how hard everyone has worked and to see the guests delivering such great reviews. The team has made guests want to return again and again and that is such an important quality to have in the hotel business."
