Studio M Arabian Plaza has appointed Ursula Chidiac as general manager.
With over 15 years of experience, working for international hotel groups such as Le Meridien Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group and most recently with Kin Plaza Arjaan by Rotana in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chidiac will oversee the entire operations of the first Studio M hotel in the UAE, offering 223 rooms and 100 apartments.
Chidiac oversee the daily hotel management, rooms and food and beverage operations, sales and revenue, profit and loss management and guest services operations to position Studio M Arabian Plaza as an affordable but quality accommodation, designed to target the growing millennial generation and other types of travellers.
Commenting on her appointment, Chidiac said: “I am honoured to be entrusted this exciting but challenging task of positioning the Studio M brand into the UAE’s growing mid-market segment. The brand’s unique concept will appeal to both business and leisure travellers, even groups and families who are looking to add an authentic touch to their travel memories. Chidiac speaks Arabic, English and French graduated from the Notre Dame University in Lebanon with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
