AccorHotels sweep competition off their feet at Hotelier Middle East Awards in Dubai

Accorhotels swept the competition off their feet and bagged four awards at the 14th annual Hotelier Middle East Awards held on October 24, 2018 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.

Accorhotels' properties won the titles of F&B Manager of the Year (Firas Hasanat, Mövenpick Resort Petra), Marketing & PR Person of the Year (Terje Abrams, Fairmont Dubai), Procurement Person of the Year (Zehra Masood, Fairmont Dubai), and Unsung Hero of the Year (Gilluz Reyes, Fairmont Dubai).

Three categories were scooped by Marriott International, Hotel Engineer of the Year (Butch Lim, Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre), Hotel Team of the Year (The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh), and HR & Training Person of the Year (Grainne Johnston, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai).

Jumeirah, H Dubai and Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) saw success in two categories each. Jumeirah took home the Executive Chef of the Year award Kuldeep Singh, Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Group and GM of the Year (Azar Saliba, Jumeirah Al Naseem).

H Dubai's Nashon Mwamba was named the Concierge/Guest Services Person of the Year and Adnan Ibrahim won the Safety & Security Person of the Year Award.

IHG took home two awards including the Fitness/Spa Person of the Year (Kamal Khalil, Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut) and Sales Person of the Year (Sameh El Shelkami, InterContinental Riyadh).

Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa Antriksh Khurana nabbed the Finance Person of the Year award, and Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai's Nithya Mehrotra took home the Housekeeper of the Year award.

IT Person of the Year was awarded to Anthony Lynsdale, Atlantis The Palm, Young Hotelier of the Year went to Halima Al Ghafri, Millennium Resort Mussanah and Emaar's Rove Dubai Marina won the Mid-Market Team Hotel Team of the Year.
