Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort welcomes Dagmar Symes as new GM

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort has appointed Dagmar Symes as the new general manager for the property located in Northern Oman.

Symes first started her career with Leading Hotels of the World and worked at various hotel properties in France, Switzerland and her native Germany. Symes’ first general manager position was at Hotel Chateau Grand Barrail in Saint Emilion, France.

She then moved on to twelve years of management in the luxury jewelry business and worked in flagship stores of renowned brands such as BVLGARI and Louis Vuitton in Germany and France, before returning to the hospitality industry in 2010 as hotel manager for Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, Munich.

Her time with Kempinski brought her to the Middle East when she was appointed as the pre-opening general manager for Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort in Beirut, Lebanon. Prior to joining Minor Hotels, Symes held the position of cluster general manager at Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon and Le Vendome InterContinental Hotel.

In her new role, Symes will be overseeing the operations of the highest luxury resort in the Middle East.
