Hampton by Hilton's GCC travel survey finds value as key deciding factor

TravelHappy, a survey commissioned by Hilton’s mid-scale brand Hampton by Hilton, surveyed more than 2,500 people in a GCC-wide poll to find that 70% of the participants find value to be the key deciding factor for travel.

Clean, comfortable rooms and easy access to tourist hotspots came in second and third with 45 percent and 42%, respectively, according to the survey conducted in partnership with YouGov.

The survey also found that More than 50% of the residents say that feeling carefree and reducing everyday responsibilities are the most enjoyable things about staying at a hotel. 65% states sightseeing and visiting tourist hotspots were the top of the wish list while on holiday.

Nearly 44% said they were “happiest” when travelling with family as opposed to 17% of the surveyors who preferred to travel alone.

Commenting on the results of the survey, Hampton by Hilton senior vice president and global head Shruti Gandhi Buckley said: “Top responses recognized value and global standards of quality, all key attributes of our brand, further reinforcing the need in the GCC market for a lodging option like Hampton by Hilton.”

Recently, Hampton by Hilton opened its largest property in the world with 420 rooms in Dubai near the city’s international airport.
