Alain Ducasse opens first Dubai restaurant at Emerald Palace Kempinski

Hotelier Middle East Staff, December 16th, 2018

Internationally acclaimed French chef Alain Ducasse has launched his first restaurant in the UAE at the Emerald Palace Kempinski, Palm Jumeirah.

Spread over three floors, Mix Dubai has three distinct zones including a private chef’s table, bar and lounge area, and the main restaurant.

The design of Mix Dubai was a result of a close collaboration between Ducasse and Manueal Clavel of Clavel Architecture and Interior Design to create a luxurious and elegant feel, with a large, golden Faberge egg which sits inside the dome of the hotel.

Ducasse has crafted a menu which includes marinated raw blue shrimps, caviar, pan-seared duck foie gras, dolce forte sauce and sea scallops, lettuce cream and white truffles.

In charge on a day-to-day basis is chef de cuisine Hugues Gerard, working alongside pastry chef Douglas Oberson.

Seating 400 covers, Mix Dubai also features multiple terraces boasting views of Dubai with the sunset on one side and the skyline of the Palm Jumeirah on the other.
