Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah appoints resident manager

Ghislaine Lȇ has been appointed as resident manager of Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Oman.

French national Ghislaine, who has more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality across markets that include France, Tahiti, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Seychelles and Maldives, has joined the team of the Shangri-La Resort in Muscat.

Previously, she was the resident manager at the Shangri-La Hambantota Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka. Prior to that, she was director of rooms at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

Lȇ has also worked with brands such as Hyatt, Radisson, Intercontinental and Constance. She joined Shangri-La in 2007 as a front office manager for Shangri-La Villingili Resort & Spa and in 2011 progressed to a role of a director of rooms for Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu.

In her new role, Ghislaine will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and development activities of the two hotels Al Waha and Al Bandar.

The resort includes operations of 460, 14 restaurants, lounges and bars, conference and events facilities, and a spa.
