The secret to Cambro's trade-show success

Lucy Taylor, March 3rd, 2009

Plastic catering storage equipment specialist Cambro has revealed that its success at Gulfood 2009 was down to its diverse product range.

“Our products cover all storage equipment for kitchens, so everything from food storage containers to ware-washing trays to outside catering equipment, such as our transportation boxes, which are incubated and will keep food hot or cold for up to four hours without electricity,” explained the company’s regional sales director Middle East and South Asia Paul Micallef.

“We’re the leader when it comes to plastic-based catering equipment and cover almost all the fields for the industry, so we had a great response at this year’s show.”

Micallef added that visitors to the company’s stand at the Dubai exhibition had shown particular interest in Cam-Shelving - specially-developed shelving made of steel but also using plastic, to prevent rusting.

“This design makes it ideal for wet areas,” he commented.

According to Micallef, the company’s aim at this year’s Gulfood was to meet people from all around the region.

“It was so international,” he said. “We saw many people, from Africa as well as the Middle East; it was a great opportunity to meet new contacts.”
