The Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort has won the Green Key label for 2019.

The property passed strict onsite audits conducted to determine the hotel’s environmental sustainability efforts and eco-friendly initiatives. The Green Key website states that the voluntary eco-label is given to hotels and other establishments in the tourism industry worldwide that have shown environmental responsibility and practiced sustainable operations within their facilities.

The hotel's managing director, Massimiliano Zanardi, said in a statement: "We take great pride in this latest international achievement. More than anything else, this honour is a testament to Mazagan’s full adherence to the highest global environmental standards in keeping with our commitment to help protect the environment and be a responsible business entity.

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the hotel has launched a number of activities geared towards environmental protection and sustainability.
