The Jaquar Group chose the recently held ISH Frankfurt – the world’s main trade fair focused on the responsible management of water and energy in buildings – showcased for the first time in a special preview the Laguna Collection, designed by renowned designers Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez exclusively for Jaquar.

Revealed in front of international visitors, buyers, suppliers and designers from around the world, the collection includes lightweight seamless bathroom design pieces. Created from high quality ceramic, the items are slender, making it effortless to blend. Designed in three colour groups, the collection includes faucets, accessories, furniture, showers and bathtubs which have various metal finishes or can be created with top quality wood such as oak and walnut wood.

It was no mistake that Jaquar collaborated with world renowned designers Matteo Thun & Partners, a multicultural architecture and design studio headquartered in Milan and with subsidiaries in Shanghai.

Matteo Thun & Partners has a sensitive approach to design, which can be seen in Jaquar’s Laguna Collection, which carries the designers’ hallmarks of aesthetic durability and technological longevity. Including a full range of sanitary ware, a variety of faucets, a frameless shower box, refined furniture and subtle bath accessories, the bathroom-collection is characterised by simplified shapes, warm colours and top-grade material combining minimalist design and direct functionality, the collection offers a variety of combinations and is available for both private and contract projects.

“Laguna presents Indian first class craftsmanship,” said Matteo Thun’s Antonio Rodriguez. “The designs provide excellent know how in finishing and present a pure design language. Jaqar’s upscale quality transmits the spirit of a handmade product but grants value for money.” Speaking about the collection, Rajesh Mehra, director, Jaquar Group, said, “We asked Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez to create something beautiful yet simple and flexible, a system that could cross differences between the markets. We wanted the design to consider the issue of sustainability yet be able to respond to the needs of a very large audience.”

Present in more than 45 countries, including in the Middle East, the Jaquar Group delivers more than 2.1 million bathrooms every year. The company’s approach to aesthetic design has seen it win several accolades, including the Red Dot Design (Germany) IF Awards (Germany), Plus X (Germany) & Good Design (US), Elle Décor International Award, Indian Design Mark, among others.
