IHG appoints senior vice president of global channels

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has appointed hospitality veteran Jamie Cole as senior vice president of global channels.

Cole is charged with maximising IHG’s revenue delivery across all customer touch-points and creating a more seamless experience. Reporting to George Turner, chief commercial and technology officer, Cole leads a team responsible for all digital and voice channels and the company’s third-party distribution strategy.

Cole brings a deep global commercial and operational knowledge spanning digital innovation, product management, distribution and eCommerce.

He joins IHG from Mandarin Oriental where he most recently led digital and eCommerce. Prior to this, he ran a specialised consulting business serving hospitality and travel clients. He also held leadership roles at Travelport Inc., Travelocity and Hilton, where he developed the corporate digital strategy for the Hilton portfolio of hotels. Cole has worked extensively across Europe, Asia and the US.
