A new contemporary lounge bar concept has opened its doors at Souk al Bahar, Downtown Burj Dubai.

A spokesperson for the venue said the aim was to highlight “the popular tradition of enjoying classic wines in modern and stylish settings characteristic of the urban metropolis which is Dubai”.

Cru, owned by UAE-based food services company Intercat Hospitality LLC, boasts a wide selection of prominent wines, from Bourdeaux to Burgundy as well as new world offerings, while contemporary finger foods are also available.

Intercat Hospitality chairman George Farha commented: “With Cru we wanted to design a place for a great evening out that appeals to the casual diner and connoisseurs alike. At Cru you can enjoy a relaxed evening with friends or even give yourself an oenological education."
