Boutique cupcake concept Sugar Daddy’s Bakery is implementing new measures at its Dubai outlet to cater for increasing demand, despite the apparent global slow-down in consumer purchases.
Brand founder Fadi Jaber commented: “Business has been excellent recently and I think that's on account of the fact that, irrespective of the economic climate, people still have birthdays to celebrate, social functions to attend and a sweet tooth to satisfy!
“It's true we are a high end bakery, but customers are always happy to splurge a little on a superior product made with the finest ingredients.”
The Dubai branch of the Middle East brand, which opened in November 2008 in The Village Mall, Jumeirah, has now announced the start of its home delivery service.
“The great news is that Sugar Daddy's will deliver anywhere within Dubai,” a spokesperson for the brand explained.
“There's no limit to what they can deliver, although there is a delivery charge that depends on the proximity. Any order of AED 1000 or more is delivered free of charge.”
The boutique bakery has also announced the launch of new cupcake flavour, ‘Cherry on Top’.
The cherry and chocolate cupcake with a hint of almond flavour is covered with a chocolate icing and topped with a red-stemmed maraschino cherry.
“I really wanted to create a true classic,” explained Jaber.
“Cherry on Top really makes you feel like you’ve just walked into a 1950’s soda shop to get a Cherry Coke or a Shirley Temple.”
Jaber’s partner in Sugar Daddy’s Dubai, Dana Jallad, added: “We are always looking at creating new flavours and expanding our product line to suit all tastes and cravings.
“The really fun part is matching the cupcake names to the decadent Sugar Daddy lifestyle,” she said.
Sugar Daddy’s has over 15 cupcake flavours available daily at its bakery outlets in Dubai, UAE, Amman, Jordan and Beirut, Lebanon.
