Dubai is becoming a true culinary hub, with not just high quality gastronomy but a real variety of offerings to chose from too.
Of course, we at HME.com love getting down and dirty with some local street food every bit as much as tasting the wondrous delights of molecular gastronomy or diving into some fresh seafood…but, if you’re in search of decent, honest, tasty scram, then you simply can’t beat a good steak.
Here, in no particular order, is our guide to the ten best steakhouses in Dubai.

Rare, Desert Palm
Amazing views are eclipsed by the fantastic, accomplished and yet unfussy food that Rare is quickly becoming famous for.
La Parrilla, Jumeirah Beach Hotel
It may be the finest South American restaurant in Dubai but it’s also one of the city’s best steakhouses, with a huge variety of cuts available.
Fire & Ice, Raffles
A culinary tour across the four elements, Fire & Ice is fairly pricey but a great special occasion restaurant, especially with its vast wine collection.
Manhattan Grill, Grand Hyatt
A staple of the Dubai steakhouse scene, the cuts are high quality, the preparation almost perfect and the service sets this restaurant apart from other pretenders.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Monarch Dubai
Our American cousins know a thing or two about steaks, and if Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is good enough to sweep the USA, it’s certainly good enough for us. The signature steaks, which arrive sizzling in butter, are a taste sensation.
Hunters Room & Grill, Westin Mina Seyahi
Fantastic and original recipes – think Angus fillet stuffed with manchego, jalapenos and sweet paprika – are all the rage here. A hefty price tag also comes as standard, but ideal for a great date night.
Rivington Grill, Souk al Bahar
If your idea of food heaven is delightfully prepared steak viewed through a filter of simple, seasonal British fare, then Rivington Grill is just the ticket. The terrace also has incredible views of Burj Dubai and Dubai Fountain.
Asado, The Palace
Argentinean, atmospheric, alluring…this is flame grilled cooking at its very best, with steaks positively oozing authentic smokiness.
JW’s Steakhouse, Marriott Deira
The décor is all monogrammed napkins, leather chairs and dark woods. The service and menu are equally as no-nonsense, discreet and – in an entirely good way – old-fashioned. The steaks are superb. Simple, really.
Exchange Grill, Fairmont Dubai
Another restaurant that may well break the bank, but one bite on the expertly and creatively prepared steaks and it’ll be worth every dirham. Also, the Exchange Grill is one of the best looking eateries in Dubai.
