Singapore's premier food show is gearing up for its biggest edition yet.

Food&HotelAsia (FHA), which will places at the Singapore Expo on April 20–23, is expected to feature 2800 exhibitors from 70 countries, claim the organisers.

FHA2010 will become the largest edition of the trade show in its 32-year history, comprising 82,000 square metres of exhibition space and new group pavilions from Dubai, Argentina, China and Poland.

FHA project director Ting Siew Mui said: “FHA has grown with the development of the industry in the region.

“Our aim has always been to maximise value to our exhibitors and visitors, through raising the standards of the event and all of its components.”

Along with a series of conferences, seminars and workshops, FHA2010 will feature a range of epicurean competitions during the four days event including the Asian Pastry Cup, the Asia Barista Championship and the FHA Culinary Challenge.

The show will also introduce Hospitality Operations and Design Conference, which intends to dissect topical operational challenges in hospitality kitchens.

“Despite being the largest and most comprehensive business event for this industry in Asia, FHA is still developed to cater to the diverse needs of each company in the various sectors within the industry,” added Mui.

“Companies will have the opportunity to explore the expanse of the event or focus on the specialised exhibits, innovative events and topical conferences most relevant to their immediate needs.”
