Rixos Hotels has appointed Kees Hartzuiker as the group’s chief executive officer.
Hartzuiker, who previously worked for Hilton Worldwide, will now lead a team of 6000 staff in 12 properties across five countries.
Rixos Hotels chairman, Fettah Tamince, said of the appointment: “I am confident that our Group will benefit from Kees Hartzuiker’s international hotel management of 24 years across three continents.
His contribution will play a pivotal role in Rixos’ further corporate development and strategic expansion”.
Prior to his role with Rixos Hotels, Hartzuiker spent numerous years in hotel management with Hilton Worldwide, holding senior positions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia – most recently the position of vice president operations Asia, overseeing projects spanning across Asia, including the emerging markets of China and India.
Hartzuiker will draw on this experience to guide Rixos Hotels as they open a number of hotels in the near future. The hotel group will shortly open the Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli in Libya and Zabeel Saray by Rixos on Palm Jumeirah as well as hotels in Turkey and Bahrain.
