Radisson snatches top spot from Hilton in Europe

Radisson has topped Hilton as the largest upscale chain in Europe.

Rezidor Hotel Group senior vice president sales and distribution Olivier Jacquin said the company was proud to have finally “reached this leading position”.

“[It] is a result of our strategic and ambitious business development, our creative marketing campaigns and our innovative service concepts at our hotels,” Jacquin added.

Radisson now boasts 170 hotels and a total of 38,079 rooms across the continent.

Hilton International has 146 hotels and 37,806 rooms, and Marriott has 86 hotels with 20,806 rooms (source: “Upscale Brands Top 10 in Europe” by MKG Hospitality, Paris).
