Kempinski has announced its second Dubai property, a hotel and residence complex located on the Palm Jumeirah, is in the last phases of delivery and should meet its sceduled launch date in Autumn 2010.

The Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah, developed by EPG Hotels and Resorts, is the international group’s second property in the Middle East which includes residences, following the announcement of Kempinski Residences and Suites Doha in November last year.

Reto Wittwer, president and CEO of Kempinski Hotels, commented: “Kempinski was one of the first hotel groups to announce properties on Palm Jumeirah, the spectacular man-made palm-shaped offshore development along the coast of Dubai, by Nakheel.

“Many announcements then followed, with big-name hospitality brands and other large projects generating impressive international media attention for the real estate and tourism hotspot.”

The new development boasts 244 luxury suites, penthouses and villas, five acres of landscaped gardens, a 500-metre private beach, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym, a spa and a kids’ club and playground.

The range of restaurants and bars will include a Mediterranean restaurant, a beach bar, a grill and a bar and lounge.

Targeted at high-end travellers, the new property will be operated as a luxury hotel — and will be joined in 2011 by the Emerald Palace Kempinski Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
