Million-star hotel launched in Germany

Hotelier Middle East Staff, August 17th, 2010

A hotel in Bad, Germany is marketing itself as a million-star property, despite boasting no walls and no roof.

The shape of the hotel has been cut into a wheat field and beds have been placed into carved rooms, giving guests an unspoiled view of the night sky.

Rooms are less than US $10 a night and don’t expect anything more than a hole in the ground for the kitchen and other facilities.

However, the hotel has received a great deal of interest and the owner told reporters that they already had 400 reservations and that weekends were fully booked for the next few months.
