The City Seasons Group of Hotels is on-track to open its fifth property, which will open in Oman in early 2011.

The 264-room 5-star City Seasons Hotel Muscat, will be linked to a new shopping mall currently under construction by the hotel group’s parent company, the Bin Ham Group.

The new property has been billed as “a fine blend of Arabian hospitality and modern facilities”.

Three restaurants, featuring Lebanese and Italian cuisine and an all day dining outlet with the ability to seat 180 covers will form the F&B offering at the outlet. A ballroom with space for 300 people will be a central attraction.

Other facilities include a health club complete with roof top swimming pool, sauna, steam room and massage.
Underground parking and an entertainment and games room will also feature.

“A report published by the World Travel and Tourism Council predicts that Oman will become the third top tourism growth market in the world this year attaining a 7.8% compound annual tourism growth rate through 2020,” said City Seasons Group of Hotels managing director, Thomas Tapken.

“This is of course very heartening for us and we expect that the hotel will do very well once it is fully open.”

The group’s current portfolio includes the City Seasons Suites in Deira City Centre, Dubai, the City Seasons Hotel Dubai which is just three minutes from the Deira City Centre and the City Seasons Al Hamra Hotel in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
