EXCLUSIVE: Just Falafel ready for global takeoff

Fast food chain Just Falafel is poised for a major expansion and is now eyeing the global market, Caterer Middle East can reveal.

Mohammed Bitar, co-founder of the chain, which opened its first outlet in Abu Dhabi in 2007, revealed Just Falafel is preparing for a UAE expansion in coming months which will see the creation of a central kitchen and a delivery call centre.

A staff of around 35 will rise to 300 as a result.

The chain has also enlisted global franchise experts Francom to explore world-wide possibilities for the brand.
“This has been such a success story,” Bitar said, “We are now going to take it to the next level”.

Just Falafel has three outlets in Abu Dhabi and two in Dubai. The brand sells a range of international versions of the basic falafel recipe and highlights the food as a healthy fast food eating option.
