Etihad cabin crew to be F1 'Grid Girls'

Members of Etihad Airways cabin crew will be part of today’s Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, when they will walk out in front of packed crowds at the Yas Marina Circuit as the drivers’ ‘grid girls’.

The 50 cabin crew members will have a day off from their usual duties serving on board Etihad aircraft and will have the eyes of the world on them as they wear the specially designed uniforms on the grid at the start of the race.

Before the race begins an Etihad A340-600 aircraft, in special F1 livery, will perform a fly-past over the Yas Marina Circuit.

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel grabbed pole in yesterday’s qualifying session.
