The Seychelles Tourism Board Middle East office held an interactive travel agents seminar last month at Le Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi to bring travel agents up to speed on the destination.
“The evening was a great opportunity to meet with the travel agents in Abu Dhabi and to showcase the Seychelles Islands, as well as to update agents on the very latest developments that are happening in the Seychelles tourism industry” said Tim Lane- Stott, regional marketing manager, Seychelles Tourism Board.
“With the ‘Carnaval International de Victoria’ taking place in March 2011 in the Seychelles, there was a great deal of interest from the agents in packaging special holiday products around this time to take in the fun of this international carnival event,” he added.

The seminar attracted a large number of travel agents from Abu Dhabi and concluded with an innovative interactive quiz and a prize draw for a luxurious three-night stay at the Banyan Tree Seychelles.
The Seychelles is a popular year-round destination for both national and expatriate travellers from the GCC. All nationalities can obtain a free visa on arrival. Just four ½ hours flying time from Dubai, the Seychelles is now served daily by Emirates airlines with direct flights from Dubai to Mahe and four times a week by Qatar Airways via Doha.
