The Arabic themed Saray Spa, Marriott’s exclusive new spa brand, has opened its inaugural space at the Dubai Marriott Harbour hotel.

The spa brand — which uses Arabic ingredients in treatments — will be rolled out across Marriott hotels in the Middle East and Africa over the next four years.

Sharilyn Abbajay, vice president, Global Spa at Marriott, explained that the spa would cater to the large percentage of male guests staying in Marriott properties in the region.

”Over the past 10 years, the number of men using spas hasmoved from 5% to 30%, so 30% of your guests now are men.

“You want the environment to make everyone feel comfortable, and I will speak for Saray — it is a neutral environment which both genders would feel very comfortable in,” she explained.
