Hughes will demonstrate dishes from The Ivy’s contemporary British and international menu such as chilled plum tomato soup with mozzarella and basil, aromatic duck salad with watermelon and chilli cashews, pan fried cod with clams and samphire, as well as Pavlova with mixed summer berries. Gastronomic enthusiasts will also have an opportunity to watch and glean culinary secrets.

The Ivy cookbook authored by AA Gill, highly-respected Sunday Times restaurant critic, will be on sale at the stand during Taste of Dubai 2011.

A special booth will be set up at the event for diners to pre-book their tables after the inaugural ceremony.

Peire said: “Taste of Dubai is a great platform for dedicated and aspiring food lovers to discover The Ivy ahead of its opening in the spring. They will have an opportunity to meet the executive team and gauge The Ivy experience first-hand.”

The Ivy will feature a private dining room hosting 16 for a more intimate dining experience. It will also offer a brasserie-style menu with a selection of Ivy classics such as its world famous shepherd’s pie and Scandinavian iced berries with hot white chocolate sauce, as well as its own take on more contemporary dishes.
