Reflets par Pierrie Gagnaire scooped a hat-trick of awards at the sixth Time Out Restaurant Awards at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC last night.
The restaurant won awards for best Contemporary European restaurant, best French restaurant, as well as the Restaurant of the Year award.
All of the winners, as chosen by Time Out Dubai Magazine, were announced during a glittering ceremony, marking the official launch of the 2011 Time Out Dubai Eating Out Guide.

“Dubai is shaping up to be the culinary capital of the world,” said James Alexander, Editorial Director of Time Out GCC. “With continued high profile openings, and more than a thousand restaurants spanning the spectrum of world cuisines, the food scene here in Dubai only gets more exciting. Our awards celebrate the best of the best across 21 award categories, with decisions based on strict criteria that take into account the whole dining experience, from the quality of the ingredients and the skills of the chef, to the service, atmosphere and value for money.”
The first of their kind in Dubai, the Time Out Restaurant Awards have been a yearly fixture on the F&B industry’s calendar since their launch in 2006. The ceremony marks 12 months of deliberation by the Time Out food critics, who visit restaurants anonymously and pay for their meals in order to evaluate the real-world experience offered by restaurants in the city.
“Our awards pull the industry together to celebrate the talent and diversity on display across the city,” said James Alexander. “We’re proud to have established the benchmark for quality, when it comes to dining out in Dubai and beyond, and we’ll continue to chart the industry’s rise for years to come.”
The 2011 event also marked the launch of an award for Outstanding Contribution. The new honorary award recognises the contributions of a single individual to Dubai’s restaurant scene.
“A handful of individuals stand out for their commitment to the cause, their culinary understanding, and the respect and inspiration they engender in their peers,” said James Alexander. “The inaugural winner of our Outstanding Contribution Award is one such person.”
The event also marked the official launch of the 2011 Time Out Dubai Eating Out Guide, a compilation of more than 500 up-to-date restaurant reviews and listings, with details of all the award-winning restaurants included. And the highly anticipated list of winners is:
