Kraft Cheddar Cheese has launched a competition which will see cooking enthusiasts compete for the chance to win their own cooking show on food channel Fatafeat.
Called ‘Star Chef’, the competition is open from now until October 1 2011, and applicants should submit their entry in video format to www.fatafeat.com.
“The Star Chef competition sponsored by Kraft Cheddar Cheese is an exciting opportunity for cooking enthusiasts to truly earn recognition for their culinary skills. By rewarding them with their very own cooking show, we are bringing fresh talent to the culinary world”, said Jayachandran Balachandran, marketing director Kraft Foods, GCC and New Markets MENA.

In October, the top 10 video entries will be short-listed and the battle for the Star Chef title will commence with weekly elimination cooking challenges. These episodes will be screened on Fatafeat TV between November 15 2011 and January 15 2012.
In the final episode , audiences from across the region can tune in to vote for their favourite contestant, who will be crowned with the Star Chef title and receive a contract to host their own cooking show on Fatafeat TV in 2012.
“Kraft Cheddar is looking for that special someone who can truly wow audiences with their passion for cooking. It is not just about recipe innovation but just as equally about his or her ability to charm audiences,” added Balachandran.
