The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) will be hosting a mass Iftar gathering for more than 2,500 people at the Al Muhaisnah Sonapur area in Dubai every day during Ramadan.

The daily Iftar forms part of the 10th Ramadan Forum being organised by the DTCM, which last year welcomed over 60,000 visitors, with more than 100,000 attending the mass Iftar.

Other events planned to take place during the Ramadan forum will be a series of lectures delivered by renowned Islamic scholars in various languages – including famous US rap artist Amir Hawkins (aka Loon) who reverted to Islam in 2009; a Quran Memorisation Mind-Map course; and a ‘Convoy of Goodness’ bus which will drive around Dubai distributing information about Islam and Muslim traditions in the form of books and CDs.
