Emirates Airline said it has no plans to follow in the footsteps of Malaysian Airlines and ban babies in first class – despite research which shows passengers are in support of the baby ban.
Malaysian Airlines hit the headlines last month when it became the first airline to ban babies from its first class section. The airline’s forthcoming A380s will not have bassinets installed; meaning parents with babies will be restricted to business and economy cabins.
Malaysian Airlines said it introduced the policy due to complaints from first class passengers who could not sleep due to “crying infants”.

While the ban has caused outrage with some parents, many others have supported it. A survey of 2,000 people by flight comparison website Skyscanner revealed that 66% of respondents were in favour of the ban.
A spokesperson for Emirates said: “Emirates aims to ensure all passengers experience the utmost in comfort and amenities during their journey.”
“The airline at present has no plans to introduce child-free Free Class services.”

All classes should provide a Cry Room for mothers with crying babies to go and sit in. It is awful to fly when you have a baby that does not stop crying the whole way to the destinantion.
