Visit Britain has launched a new B2B event aimed exclusively at international buyers.
The VisitBritain Hosted Buyers Marketplace (HBM) will be held for the first time at Wembley Stadium in London on March 19, 2012.
Visit Britain will host just 150 specially selected international buyers from 20 countries for the event — including buyers from the UAE.

The event will take place the day before the ETOA and UK inbound’s well-established Britain & Ireland Marketplace (BIM) at the same venue. Together the two back-to-back workshops give tourism businesses even greater opportunity to reach key buyers through a programme of pre-scheduled and open appointments with additional networking at a gala dinner.
Chief executive of Visit Britain Sandie Dawe said buyers would be taken on fam trips to experience first-hand what the UK has to offer.
“The Hosted Buyers Marketplace is well positioned to build on the opportunity to showcase Britain during 2012 as a result of the Queen’s Diamond Jubliee and hosting the 2012 Games, and to ensure British product features heavily in international programmes. This work will be supported by our ambitious 'You’re Invited' marketing programme over the next four years.”
Participating markets include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the USA and the UAE. Registration for the event begins next month.
