W Doha has appointed Lebanese chef Ibrahim Khalil Hamam as its new executive sous chef.

Hamam has brought his experience in cooking Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, North African and Asian cuisine to the role.


He joined the hotel from his previous post as head chef at The Pearl-Qatar and once worked as royal chef in-charge of Sheikh Zayid al Nahyan's palace, the president of the Abu Dhabi.

At The Pearl- Qatar, Ibrahim was responsible for eight restaurants and five openings.

"Ibrahim brings vast experience in exquisite fine dining across Asia Pacific and the Middle East to benefit all our culinary outlets,” said Edgar Vaudeville, PR and events manager at W Doha.

Hamam commented on his new job: "It's great to be part of the W Doha culinary team and be able to work for such well-known and popular restaurants as Market and Spice Market by Jean-Georges.”
