A double-decker Emirates Airline flight carrying 410 passengers from Bangkok to India made an unscheduled landing in the early hours of Sunday due to a reported "technical snag". 

The A380 aircraft flying to Dubai from Bangkok, Thailand landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in Hyderabad, India, Abu Dhabi daily The National reported. 

"Emirates can confirm flight EK 385, an A380 aircraft from Bangkok to Dubai, was diverted to Hyderabad International Airport today at 0345 hours due to a technical snag in the aircraft," an Emirates spokeswoman said in a statement released on Sunday.

All of the passengers were taken off the aircraft safely, the carrier said.


"205 passengers departed on EK 527, a Boeing 777 aircraft at 10.20 local hours," it added.


The remaining 205 passengers were due to board relief flight EK 8385 and fly out at around 11.30am on Sunday


"Emirates regrets any inconvenience caused, the safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance," the statement said.
