What is your career background?
I have been in the industry for 22 years of which I spent eight challenging years in sales with Travel Corporation India (TCI) in Pune. The rest of the 14 years have been with Al Rostamani Travel and Holidays. Since joining the company I have seen the ups and downs of the industry — the automation revolution, changing pricing concept and now the challenging TMC concept. My exposure is to both leisure and corporate travel.
What attracted you to your new role at Al Rostamani Travel?

Taking up and exploring new challenges, career growth and a broader exposure to the trade, recognition and above all I’m proud to represent the brand Al Rosamani Travel.
What are your main objectives and responsibilities?
Main objectives are to position Al Rostamani Travel among one of the top TMCs in the region, to build stronger relationship with our existing accounts and trade partners which would strengthen our hold and position in the region and also explore opportunities for new business. My responsibilities are also to negotiate, lead, supervise and mentor. Systematise business travel for the corporate accounts; set and monitor budgets, implementing travel policies.
What do you think will be your biggest challenges in the new job?
Competition in the most dynamic market, adapting the TMC culture, and shrinking margins.
What are you most excited about?
To be part of the most stable, established and successful company in the UAE and my role to be one of the members to drive the business in the emerging and challenging market.
What do you love most about working in the travel industry?
The culture, diversity, flexibility, growth and opportunities.
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
My pride is that I have worked for two respected brands during my tenure, my years of experience and achieving a successful career.
