Chef Gilles Bosquet has joined The St. Regis Doha as the fine dining chef de cuisine, bringing international experience, a modern outlook and passion for food to the hotel.

Before joining the team, Bosquet worked at a number of Michelin star restaurants in London, France and the UAE, and before that, and has also run his own Michelin star restaurant in the French countryside.

Tareq Derbas, general manager of The St. Regis Doha, said: “We are bringing together a world-class team of hospitality specialists to open the hotel and to offer an incredible range of bespoke experiences to our guests. Food and fine dining will be among the most important attractions at the hotel, so we are delighted to be able to welcome Gilles Bosquet to our growing family of culinary associates.”

Having worked at The One and Only in Dubai under master chef Lew Kathreptis, and at the opening of the Address Hotels, Bosquet has extensive Middle East experience.

In London, he joined the team at the Michelin star restaurant, The Connaught, part of the Gordon Ramsey Group. In France, he was sous chef at La Pyramide, a two-star Michelin Star restaurant in the heart of Paris.

In 2009, Bosquet took his passion for food and opened his own restaurant in the French countryside, where he was awarded his first Michelin star for exceptional cuisine and service, after only two years.

Committed to quality and with a great attention to detail, Bosquet has started sourcing the finest and freshest produce from all over the world for the signature dishes and modern Mediterranean menus that will be available at The St. Regis Doha.
