American steakhouse chain Ruth’s Chris is set to open a second restaurant in Dubai in Q2 of 2012, at The Address Dubai Marina.
The first Dubai branch of the steakhouse opened in 2008 on Sheikh Zayad Road in The Monarch Hotel, but the new one will be bigger, at almost 14,00 ft².
The executive head chef will be Paul De Visser, who plans to transfer the atmosphere of its current Dubai restaurant into the new one, and continue the chain's signature style of cooking steaks – a broiling technique at 1000⁰c.
Michael Szczepanski, general manager said: “We are extremely pleased to confirm the opening of our Middle Eastern flagship, in a space that will allow us to really communicate the compelling aspects of the Ruth’s Chris story and underline the capabilities of our kitchen and team.
“The Address Dubai Marina is a perfect location in terms of attracting both international tourists and fashionistas alike, and we look forward to maintaining our standards of excellence in Uptown Dubai.”
The announcement by the chain, which originated in New Orleans in 1965, also included plans to further extend in the region.
