It has only been operating for three months, but already bosses at The Farm, located in the exclusive development Al Barari, Dubai, have announced that they will turn the restaurant into a brand and open more outlets in the UAE.

The instant popularity of the ‘destination venue’ has cemented in owners’ minds, the Zaal family, the potential of the concept - but it was already created with the intention of becoming more than a standalone restaurant, F&B manager Maheesha Ratnayake revealed.

“The Farm will become a brand. I can safely say that,” he revealed.
“It’s a brand already, but will be ready soon to go pretty much anywhere providing the setting is right.”

Ratnayake wouldn’t reveal any more details and confirmed plans were still in concept stage, but did say that construction of a spa next to the restaurant will be the next stage of the brand’s development.

He also revealed that the prep kitchen and bakery is big enough to run two restaurants from.

“The kitchen downstairs is massive,” he said. “It will serve two restaurants – that’s why it was built like that. There will be another restaurant in Al Barari, but it will be a different concept to The Farm."

The Farm is the brainchild of the Zaal family - and is managed and operated by Soul Dining Concepts, a subsidiary of Zaal Enterprises.

The restaurant prides itself on sourcing fresh, healthy ingredients from local farmers where possible and has a strict ethical ethos, only dealing with suppliers that support workers' rights.

Zaal Enterprises owns the Greenworks nursery, also situated in Al Barari.
