Banyan Tree Al Wadi in Ras Al Khaimah has announced that it is to build a new “mini-complex” of presidential villas, as well as expanding its stables to an equestrian centre.
The presidential complex will comprise around six villas which will be separate to other resort buildings, and have its own private access road.
“It's not located within the main body of the property – it’s over a few sand dunes in total privacy,” said Anders Dimblad, general manager. “It’ll be truely phenomenal. I don't think there's anything in the Middle East that’s similar to it at this stage. It is underway, they’re finalising the drawings now, hoping to break ground very, very soon. The area has been selected, and the roads have been marked off.”
Work is also underway on the resort’s stables, transforming them into “a fully-fledged equestrian centre," Dimblad said. “We’re very excited about that and we hope to have it all up and running by the end of the year. It’s going full steam ahead right now."
