Executive Chef Yousseff Darwish said: “Ramadan is a very special time of the year and at the Taj Palace Dubai we make it truly memorable for our guests with a rich menu of authentic Arabic and Indian fare served in an equally traditional and gorgeous setting. Guests will be welcomed with festive lighting on the façade including a large ‘fanous’ (lantern)”.

The mouth-watering Iftar buffet will be served in the hotel’s sprawling lobby that is ideal for both small and large groups with its exquisite oriental mood and traditional seating.

Chef Youssef said: “The Iftar buffet menu includes Ramadan juices, dates and nuts, salads and pickles, cold mezzeh, soups and traditional breads, with a wide array of main courses comprising Arabic mixed grills (beef kebabs, shish tawouk, lambkofta), rice and noodles, lentils and chicken, lamb, fish, duck and vegetable dishes. Indian dishes on the menu include chicken biryani, mutton biryani, seafood biryani, butter chicken, dal makhani, paneer butter masala, prawns curry, fish amritsari, mutton rogangoush, sabz e bahar and harabara kebab.

“The desserts are equally tempting and feature a large variety of Arabic sweets, pastries, and fruit. In addition to the lavish buffet, there will be several live cooking stations serving enticing delights ranging from pasta to oriental rice, chicken shawarma and fulmedames”.

Priced at AED 119 per person, the menu for the Iftar buffet changes daily and is available from sunset until 11pm.

Groups of 10 or more can take advantage of group discounts and can enjoy the Iftar buffet for AED 100 per person.

Sohour, which is also available through room service, costs AED 99 per person.
