EMF Emirates and Cacao Barry have held the fifth edition of Rendez-Vous Gastronomique, which saw three world-renowned pastry chefs and chocolatiers demonstrate their skills in the UAE.
Three Best Workers of France (MOF) presented their techniques on May 27 at Mina Salam Madinat Jumeirah Dubai and May 30 at Park Hyatt Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi.
The chefs were Phillipe Bertrand, MOF chocolatier and director of the Chocolate Academy of Barry Callebaut France, Arnaud Larher, MOF pastry and chocolate and holder of “four Bars” degree with the “Croqueurs de Chocolat” association and Laurent Duchene, MOF pastry and confectionary and member of the Relais et Chateaux worldwide association.
Pierre Feghali, general manager of EMF Emirates, said: “I am very excited to see thie amount of chefs from all over the UAE, and even some coming from Muscat, who are attending this exceptional event. It is not an easy task to gather three such huge names in the world of pastry and chocolate making. You can search any of the three names on the Internet, and you will have thousands of pages and pictures about them, their work and their Institutions.”
The events saw 200 guests witness the six-hour masterclass, followed by a cocktail reception, where they could meet the guests stars to discuss their work.
